Barre Fusion – w/ Paige McClees
Paige is excited to announce her newest class offering to the Birmingham area. Barre Fusion combines exercises at the barre with mat Pilates and core conditioning routines for a low impact yet powerful workout. Barre work uses your own body weight for resistance and focuses on small isometric movements to challenge your muscles and change the shape of your body. This innovative and challenging class will marry the precise techniques of traditional barre along with athleticism, higher heart rates, as well as infectious music and choreography that will help clients achieve a sleeker, leaner, and stronger physique. The beautiful space and the high energy of this class will keep you counting down moments until your next class!

Yoga with Meg – w/ Meg Coleman
Join Meg Coleman for an energetic yoga class to shake off your week and stir up your weekend on Saturday mornings in April and May at 10am. This class is designed to inspire an empowered relationship with your body by creating a beautiful balance of challenge and ease. Set to a fun soundtrack and available to all levels, it’s the perfect way to get your weekend started. New students please arrive 5 minutes early to sign a waiver and get settled!

Intercity Dance Collective – w/ Caitlin Schweizer
Intercity Dance Collective comes to the beautiful new studios of Forma! A one-hour adult community dance class, for ages 18+, all levels welcome.
Please wear dance clothing and sneakers or jazz shoes.
What to expect: A full professional warm up, choreography time to learn a 1 minute dance, and video of whoever would like to show off their moves for Intercity’s social media!

Lunch Crunch – w/ Jennie Fisher & Brandon Barranco
Forma is offering a rotating series of fitness classes and partnering with local restaurants to provide a healthy lunch that you can pick up right here! Classes will last 45-50 minutes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and your lunch will be waiting for you on the way out.
We’re partnering with Farm Bowl + Juice first. Choose between an acai bowl or oats bowl, and then select from the toppings bar to make it a meal! Please leave a comment with your selection when you enter in your name and information. Price includes class + food. Drop in’s who do not want lunch may pay $12 at the door for class only.
Currently teaching is Jennie Fisher, a certified cross-training instructor. She will bring her experience in high intensity interval training via bodyweight exercises combined with a passion for stretching and mobility to the class. Come prepared to move your body and leave feeling a little stronger and rejuvenated.

Intermediate Ballet – w/ Cindy Free
Join Cindy Free, director of Birmingham Ballet, for this ballet technique class targeted at the dancer with some experience looking to take more classes! This class is geared towards adults with previous dance training at either the intermediate or advanced level. Master teacher, Free provides a Vaganova System based class with plenty of individualized corrections and just the right amount of challenge to strengthen you and fine tune your technique. Dancers may wear ballet slippers or pointe shoes.

Yoga for All: Asana, Self-Acceptance and Empowerment Weekend – w/ Dianne Bondy
We will begin our weekend at 5pm with a special Master class practice with Dianne, open to all levels of experience and physicality and progress through 4 workshop segments for a truly empowering weekend of learning and practice.
The Art and Science of Asana for All, Friday, 6:30-9pm The literal definition of asana is “the seat”. So come and take a seat of power in your own practice! Dianne invites you to participate in unique asana variations and unconventional models of practice that focus on safe and accessible self-expression.

Let’s figure this out together. Asana looks and feels different in all bodies. How do we customize our practice to fit our bodies. Explore yoga for all levels, shapes, and sizes, as an expression of life and joy. We will be working in a non-competitive environment so that this practice will be brave and supportive. Learn how to listen to your body and connect with your inner strength while exploring the path to self-acceptance. Bring your curiosity, ideas and your pose and together let’s create a fun and affirming asana practice. Let’s learn together.
The Body Politic: Yoga, Body Image and YOU, Saturday 2:30pm-5pm #thisiswhatayogilookslike This is what the yoga practice teaches us. Together we rise, and together we create positive change. Explore a conversation around body positivity, body image and yoga. The power to serve a diverse and inclusive community starts social change as it relates to the tenets of yoga. In a lively, open-forum discussion, we will explore the impacts of our conditioning on the injustice and inequality experienced in our local communities. Join Dianne Bondy in an accessible yoga practice designed to help you safely explore the themes of self-acceptance and compassion towards the self and others. This unique practice of ongoing and collaborative learning integrates asana, journaling and open-dialogue discussions centered on the philosophy of yoga as it relates to equanimity and unity. This weekend offers 12 CEUs through the Yoga Alliance for Registered Yoga Teachers. Friday Master Class only is $50 Investment. Individual segments are $100. Full weekend Investment is $300.
